As part of the security strategy for Meta, Guaviare and Vaupés, Colombian National Army has sent more than 240 soldiers in the 22nd Brigade. This reinforcement seeks to dismantle the illegal activities of organized armed groups and criminal structures, in addition to providing greater protection to the inhabitants.

The Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion of Colombian National Army supports this operation with its aircraft, on the command post in San José del Guaviare.
