Ringleader of the Teófilo Forero Structure killed in the framework of military operations. Two arrests and a minor recovered in Caquetá
This individual, with more than four years of criminal history, allegedly participated in the homicide of two police officers in 2021, the murder of a citizen and the incineration of a passenger collective transport bus in 2022, as well as in extortions against merchants, transporters and ranchers in the south of the country. Two other people were arrested in the same action and a minor was recovered.
Within the framework of tasks of control and institutional presence, framed within the Ayacucho Joint Strategic Campaign Plan – Tiempo 2 - and in the midst of operations to combat crimes that attack personal freedom, the Military Forces neutralized alias Andrés Jaramillo or Chilingo, a dangerous ringleader of the Teófilo Forero structure of the Second Marquetalia of the FARC dissidents in the northwest of Caquetá.
The events took place in the rural area of Belén de los Andaquíes. Members of Colombian National Army Military Forces arrived at the scene, with the support of the Air Force and the Police, who after receiving several denunciations about extortion and after a thorough and detailed investigative operation and the military operation found the area where a group of illegal finances of that gang, was trying to hide of the operations of the authorities.
Upon arriving at the site, the members of this group of dissidents attack the troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), who carry out a military operations maneuver that leads them to safeguard their lives. As a result of this fact, alias Andrés Jaramillo or Chilingo was killed in the framework of military operations, a recognized ringleader with an extensive criminal history.
This individual, caught in flagrante delicto, is one of the main ringleaders of the illegal finance group of the Teófilo Forero structure of the Second Marquetalia of the FARC dissidents who commit crimes mainly in the north of Caquetá. According to what has been established, this 29-year-old individual, four of them criminals, had a valid arrest warrant for the crimes of extortion and association to commit aggravated crimes.
Alias Chilingo was one of the ringleaders closest to José Aldinever Sierra Sabogal, alias Zarco Aldinever, the main coordinator of the Second Marquetalia in the south of the country, since he was in charge of supplying illegal resources from extortion money, kidnapping and drug trafficking.
According to information collected, this individual, who was carrying a rifle with which he fired at the troops who were going after his arrest, would have participated, among other facts, in the planning of the terrorist operation in which two police officers were killed in Puerto Rico, Caquetá in 2021. He would also have ordered the homicide of a person and the attack on a tanker vehicle in a rural area of the same municipality in 2022. In the same way, he would be involved in the incineration of a collective passenger transport bus of the company Coomotor in the rural area of San Vicente del Caguán in 2022.
Alias Chilingo was carrying out threats and pressures on merchants, ranchers and transporters of the north of Caquetá with the aim that his victims would supply him with money in exchange for not attacking their lives, those of their relatives and their furniture or commercial real estate.
Proof of that are several documents found by troops in his possession where he intimidated businessmen demanding extortion fees that served for his criminal structure.
Two women aged 19 and 21 were in the same way arrested and a 15-year-old minor was recovered. Three rifles, ammunition of different calibers and material of military accessories were in the same way found.
With this result of the military operation, the Military Forces weaken the logistical and criminal structure of the Teófilo Forero group of the Second Marquetalia of the FARC dissidents, which commits crimes in the departments of Caquetá and Huila, since this individual had the experience and the intimidating power to manage illegal resources for the ringleaders.
