This important finding is materialized thanks to the coordination of Differential resources of the Military and Police Forces.
Within the framework of joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations, units of the Colombian Navy, Colombian National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force, the National Police and with the support of the Attorney General's Office found 1,516 kilograms of marijuana that were being transported on board a truck in the vicinity of the La Catorce village sector, in Cumaribo-Vichada.
The operation occurred when military and police personnel were carrying out territorial area control operations on the aforementioned sector. With intelligence information, the troops checked a vehicle that was accompanied by a motorcycle, in which sacks and packages with suspicious substances were found by troops.
After conducting an Approved Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH the substance left positive result for marijuana. The marijuana, valued at more than $9.7 million on the international illegal market, was put into custody of the authorities along with three arrested individuals and other elements.
