With the intention of strengthening the ties of cooperation and brotherhood with the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Gabriel Alfonso P茅rez Garc茅s, Commander of the Colombian Navy, held a meeting with Major General Carlos Jos茅 Carlos Jos茅 Russo Assump莽茫o Penteado, Executive Secretary of the Institutional Security board of the Presidency of Brazil and his delegation
Within the framework of the meeting, the planning of the Orion IX and Orion X naval campaigns against drug trafficking was discussed, which will be carried out during 2022, with the purpose of coordinating multilateral efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking and other related crimes on the border of the two countries, strengthening defense and security in this region.
