The Colombian Navy, through the Caribbean Naval Force, in coordination with construction and engineering professionals of the United States Navy and the Secretary of Education of the Mayor's Office of Cartagena, led the adaptation project of the community dining room of the Nueva Esperanza School in La Europa village, Arroyo Grande village, in the city of Cartagena.
For 21 days, Colombians and foreigners, through a solid alliance that the two countries share, intervened the spaces of the school, contributing significantly to the improvement of the construction where the 55 students of this institution receive food, which contributes to their nutrition and enriches their school experience.
120 million pesos were invested to optimize the operation of the school, reducing the risk and extending the useful life of the construction. Additionally, the donation of furniture was made for the adaptation of the dining room and the kitchen, improving the conditions of the minors and those of the 400 inhabitants of the village.
