Alias costeño was part of the most wanted by the Military Forces in these two departments, and was accused of other crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, association to commit crimes, forced displacement and weapons storage.
The Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Casanare, in a coordinated and inter-institutional manner with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office and the Sijín of the Meta department, managed to arrest alias costeño or Villazón, who was the ringleader of the zone and coordinator of extortions on behalf of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo in the departments of Casanare and Meta.
Alias Costeño was part of the most wanted by the Military Forces in these two departments, where he committed crimes in the rural and urban areas of the municipalities of Maní, Tauramena and Villanueva - Casanare; Barranca de Upía and La Cristalina in the department of Meta and even in Paratebueno - Cundinamarca. With his arrest, the constraint and future extortions against the civilians of eastern Colombia are prevented.
This individual is in the same way accused of other crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, association to commit crimes, forced displacement and storage of weapons, so a highly dangerous menace of the GAO Clan del Golfo is neutralized.
Alias Costeño was arrested in the Surimena village of the municipality of Orocué, Casanare and subsequently put into custody of the authority that is conducting his judicial process.
With this decisive operation, Colombian National Army reaffirms its commitment to neutralize the criminality of organizations outlaw and protect the good physical condition of communities, especially of productive groups that have been mostly hit by extortion.
