From the extreme south, operations continue to be carried out in favor of the environment, transporting recyclable material in order to contribute to the useful life of the Leticia and Puerto Nari帽o sanitary landfills, which are 96% occupied, preventing their overflow.
For this reason, a Casa C-295 attached to the Military Transport Air Command- CATAM was sent to transport about a ton of post-consumer and recyclable material generated in Leticia, Amazonas to the capital city of the country, continuing so with the important mission entrusted since the beginning of last year.
These operations have been recognized by various institutions. The last one received was the International Green Medal Environmental Mission for Peace award granted to Colonel Jair Ramiro Ocampo Bustos, Commander of the Amazon Air Group- GAAMA, by the FUNEMA International Foundation, an organization that promotes the conservation, protection, recovery, management and rational use of natural resources and the environment.
About a ton of recyclable and post-consumer material were transported from Leticia
It is important to say that this is a relevant way to raise the importance of continuing to contribute to the environment as has been done by this Aerial Unit, contributing a grain of sand to the Amazon biome in the south of the country.
