In the enormous Magdalena River, over the Mariano Ospina P茅rez bridge in the municipality of Girardot, Cundinamarca, the students of the Lanceros Course No. 501 and 502, held the Night of the Lancer, where students faced fears and conducted individual and collective tests to strengthen their esprit and military vocation.
There were many hours where the 80 students conducted different technical and tactical exercises that put their physical, mental and psychological firmness to the limit, mostly related to combat survival in water to strengthen courage in hostile or dangerous environments.
These initial tests of the course are led by highly prepared instructors, trained under the highest doctrinal standards of Colombian National Army, in which it is expected to have the best leaders of small units with the ability to plan, prepare, execute and evaluate the mission.
The exercise counted on the work of Lieutenant Colonel David Alfonso Gait谩n Ru铆z, commander of the glorious and unique Lanceros School who participated in some tests as part of the motivation and leadership before the students, evidencing the tenacity that the Colombian Lancer must have.
