The structure was found thanks to intelligence information provided by the Colombian Navy's Amazonas Fusion Center.
Nine laboratories used for cocaine production were destroyed at the site.
In these facilities, explosives were allegedly manufactured that would be used against the Military Forces.
The Colombian Navy, in coordination with the National Police of Colombia and Peru, managed to dismantle a gigantic clandestine camp used by the Structure 48 Comandos de Frontera of the Residual Organized Armed Group Segunda Marquetalia, in the region of Loreto - Peru. This operation, called Qhaway Llaktay, led to the finding and destruction of facilities for the manufacture of explosives, which represented a threat to security on the Colombian-Peruvian border.
The camp was between the municipality of Soplin Vargas - Peru and the municipality of Puerto Nariño - Colombia, thanks to the information provided by the Fusion Center of the Amazonas of the Colombian Navy.
Members of the Military Forces of the National Police of Peru arrived at the scene, where materials for the manufacture of improvised explosives, including 11 mortars, more than 600 grenades, 200 boxes of TNT, 300 explosives for landmines, 1,000 cartridges of different calibers, among other devices, were found.
In the same way, nine laboratories that would be used for cocaine production were destroyed, where 7,580 tons of cocaine sulfate, 32,385 tons of chemical precursors were found by troops and three firearms were confiscated.
Through this operation, more than three million dollars were prevented from entering the finances of criminal organizations, potentially weakening so their criminal capacity in the region.
