Two women in a state of pregnancy included.
The Colombian Navy, within the framework of comprehensive maritime control and security operations, sent its units to evacuate four people who suffered medical emergencies in the village of La Bocana, Buenaventura – Valle del Cauca.
The first evacuation began when the staff of the National Police Station of the village of La Bocana, requested the Naval Institution to transfer two women who were in a state of pregnancy.
A Coast Guard unit was immediately sent to carry out the evacuation of the pregnant mothers, together with the medical staff of the health post, to the District of Buenaventura, where they were transported to a city hospital to receive specialized medical assistance.
In the second case, the Colombian navy units evacuated two men aged 40 and 60, one of them wounded by a firearm near his neck and another who had received a heavy blow in the head with a revolver.
Taking into account the severity of their injuries, which required an immediate transfer to a more complex center, the Coast Guard evacuated the two men to the Buenaventura pier, where an ambulance was waiting to take them to the Santa Sofía del Pacífico Clinic.
So far this year the Naval Institution has evacuated and rescued 121 people who have suffered emergencies.
