Hundreds of citizens of Buenaventura benefited from a large departmental decentralized activity led by the Valle del Cauca Governorate in which the Colombian Aerospace Force linked with medical specialists who were part of a humanitarian medical assistance activity.
The event took place in the multipurpose court of the Juan III Neighborhood, where military of the Air Combat Command No. 7, Professional Officers of the Reserve and volunteers, came together to join this work and provide the inhabitants with free of charge health services with specialists of areas such as neuropediatrics, pediatrics, pain medicine, traumatology, general medicine and dentistry. The Air Force led then 250 more assistances and the largest number of people living in this place was covered.
The protocol events were chaired by Mrs. Dilian Francisca Toro Torres, governor of Valle del Cauca and Mrs. Ligia del Carmen C贸rdoba, mayor of Buenaventura, who with an emotional speech thanked the coordination of efforts conducted by the public sector, private companies and the Military Forces to favor citizens and promote social development.
Within this important offer of services, citizens also learned about the educational services and enjoy recreational, cultural sports and other assistance activities in the area of health provided by the participating institutions to this meeting that sought to improve the living conditions of these vulnerable people.
It should be noted that the specialists and some medical equipment such as blood pressure monitors, dental units, scales, compressors, and a dental box, were transported in a Casa 212 aircraft, from the Marco Fidel Su谩rez Air Base in the city of Cali, to provide the residents of Buenos Aires with comprehensive health care.
