In order to work for security in the area of responsibility during the electoral activity that will take place this Sunday, March 13, the Colombian Navy has deployed 8,125 men and women, as well as different ships, river units, speedboats and riverboats, within the framework of the Democracy Plan 2022.
The operation will provide land, air, sea and river coverage, in 515 positions with 27,074 polling station, distributed in 59 municipalities of the country. In the region of the Caribbean Naval Force, positions will be filled in the departments of Bolívar, Sucre, Córdoba and San Andrés and Providencia. In the region of the Pacific Naval Force, in the departments of Cauca, Chocó Department, Nariño and Valle del Cauca. In the region of the Naval Force of the East, in Arauca, Casanare, Guainía, Guaviare, Meta and Vichada. In the region of the Southern Naval Force, in Amazonas, Caquetá, Meta and Putumayo.
In the same way, naval units will support the transport of the servants who will cover the voting stations in the island areas.
Electoral activity will begin at eight in the morning and end at four in the afternoon. The voters, as well as the voting jurors, count on the security provided by the Colombian Navy to participate in this democratic meeting, and invites people to report any action that may alter the normality of the activity, through the toll-free line 146.
