Colombian National Army, through the Education and Doctrine Command, granted international academic mobility to a group of students of the Sergeant Inocencio Chincá Military School of Noncommissioned Officers.
In the year of strengthening the leadership and fighting will as fundamental axes of the operational strength of the Colombian National Army, 17 young soldiers and a non-commissioned officer of the Military School of Non-Commissioned Officers take a study programat the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC), in Georgia, USA. for a period of two months. Those selected were first and second year students, who stand out for their military and academic excellence, in addition to the high results obtained in the management and mastery of the English language.
This academic mobility program takes place thanks to the cooperation agreements by both military training institutions, and provide cultural, linguistic, academic immersion with the possibility of acquiring and implementing innovative practices that strengthen their leadership and decision-making in the face of joint, inter-institutional and multinational conflicts.
It is worth mentioning that to date the education system of the National Army has granted international academic mobility to nearly 1,000 men and women, thus fulfilling the objectives of professionalization and strengthening of the branch’s Resources for the security and defence of the Nation.
