The Colombian Aerospace Force led the third international update forum on cybersecurity, cyberdefense and cyberintelligence, called CyberWings 2023, in Bogotá, Colombia, the Air Forces of 11 countries of the world met, with the purpose of exploring new technical and operational resources in this area of knowledge.
This was the environment where the Colombian Aerospace Force received a certification of the Organization of The American States - OAS, accrediting the Institution as a member of the network of cyber incident response teams of the Americas - CSIRT Americas, extolling the constant work in the prevention of crimes and cyber attacks in the country.
The CyberWings 2023 was attended by delegations from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, Italy, Mexico, Panama and Peru, who listened to conferences and resolved doubts about security risk management, strategic cyber alliances in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as aeronautical and space cybersecurity.
The EAN University and ADL Digital Lab, received visits of the participants of CyberWings 2023, and there exercises were carried out around satellite hacking, such as Gain the Flag and Table Top (TTX) for decision-making in moments of cyber crisis, technical challenges associated with the protection of critical construction.
These practices strengthened the training of the attendees, who exchanged secure and timely information to combat crime and, in the same way, the ties of cooperation between the academy, private companies and the cyber units of the Air Forces of the American continent and partner countries were strengthened.
