As part of the commemoration of the World Environment Day and with the aim of raising awareness and contributing to the conservation of ecosystems in the extreme south of the country, the Amazonas-GAAMA Air Group, through the Environment Section, participated in the planting activity of about 1,000 seedlings in indigenous communities near the urban area of Leticia.
The activity, which was carried out simultaneously in the TIWA People kilometer 6; was attended by the military personnel of the GAAMA, in Nazareth and Puerto Nari帽o, was led by the Departmental Secretariat of Agriculture, Environment and Productivity and counted on the participation of public and private institutions of the department of Amazonas.
It should be noted that, for the reforestation activity at the Tiwa water source, hard work was carried out on the adaptation, cleaning, removal of weeds and plastic waste of the bank of the river to make the optimal planting of native specimens such as the asai and aguaje, creating awareness in the conservation of these specimens.
