Apparently, the explosive device was installed by the residual Organized Armed Group Estructura 62 Miller Perdomo, in a clear violation of Human Rights and an infringement of International Humanitarian Law.
Colombian Navy troops provided first aid to a 19 – year-old man who was injured by the detonation of a mine-type explosive device in El Danubio, municipality of Solano-Caquetá.
The humanitarian assistance operation began after the members of a rudimentary canoe-type boat carrying the wounded man over the Orteguaza River notified the personnel of the Naval Infantry River Battalion No. 33, which were in the Mobile River Support Station in the municipality of Tres Esquinas-Caquetá, as part of the river inspection and control operations conducted in this water tributary.
Immediately, the Colombian Navy crew provided first aid to the person, who suffered severe blows on his arms and legs; he also has wounds from shrapnel in various parts of the body. He was stabilized by doctors and then continue his transit by waterway to the municipality of Solano – Caquetá, where he received medical assistance of the medical staff of the Local Hospital in the municipality of Solano. In the place, staff of the Mayor's Office and Representative of the people for human rights, provided accompaniment and support to the relatives of the victim, in addition to carry out the necessary steps for his evacuation, being necessary the support of the Air Combat Command No. 6 of the Colombian Air Force, to transport him to the city of Florencia.
The explosive device would have been installed by members of the E-62 Residual Armed Group Miller Perdomo who commit crimes in the area, who in a clear violation of Human Rights and an infringement of International Humanitarian Law, is attacking civilians by installing these elements in rural and urban areas of the department.
