Guatemalan Vice President was accompanied by Guillermo Botero Nieto, Minister of National Defense. This visit had as main objective, to make visible through a tour of the installations of the Naval Base ARC "Bol铆var", the capabilities of the Science Corporation and Technology for the Maritime and Fluvial Naval Industry, Cotecmar, in the design, construction and implementation of new dual technologies at the service of the Military Forces.
Thus, Mr. Jafeth Cabrera Franco, first-hand knew of the Amphibious disembarking Ship ARC "Golfo de Morrosquillo", an afloat unit of Colombian construction, which provides operations services and Comprehensive Action in the Caribbean Naval Force.
In the same way, the High Representative received a presentation on the capabilities of these dual-type units, used mainly in the provision of troops and the carrying out of Development Support Activities.
Colombia as a regional reference, in recent years, has carried out engineering and infrastructure projects that have had a positive impact on technological growth, with a view to effectively counteracting the transnational threats of the hemisphere.
