Within the framework of the Naval Bicentenary, the Colombian Navy is holding the fifth meeting that leads to extensive interaction in the research and technological environment with the participation of the public and private sectors.
During this week in the facilities of the Navy Infantry Training School, the fifth Congress of Naval Science, Technology and Innovation is being held, with the purpose of maintaining the study atmosphere that leads to the exchange knowledge, sharing experiences and promoting cooperation in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation.
To this end, a thematic agenda has been implemented that integrates concepts such as: Development of Industry 4.0, development of maritime and river interests, strategy, logistics and Port processes, Security and Defense and naval history, oceanology and fluviology and energy transition and Environmental Protection. The congress has the active participation of five countries, who have composed the scientific committee, mainly. On the part of Colombia as the host country, highlighting the participation of the Chief of Naval Staff of the Colombian Navy, Rear Admiral Le贸n Ernesto Espinoza Torres.
The face-to-face and virtual modality Congress is broadcast through the YouTube platform of the @Armadacolombia and Navy Infantry Training School.
Companies and institutions of the maritime and port sector participate in this Science, Technology and innovation meeting, including Mar10, Elbit Systems, Ecomil, Todomar, Geosyste Ingenier铆a, Safe Boats, Corporation of Science and Technology for Naval development, Maritime and River Industry - (COTECMAR), University of Sin煤 and Cartagena mainly.
During the three days of the Naval Science, Technology and Innovation Congress, which began last Wednesday, October 18th, attendees access the Resources exhibition of the components of the Colombian Navy, and booth in the external area of the TCCIM Convention Center Carmelo Villamizar D铆az getting to know first-hand the human talent and resources of the Disaster Response Company of the Colombian Navy, Special Forces Command of the Military Forces, as well as the Diving and Rescue Department, Caribbean Coast Guard and Naval Aviation.
The Colombian Navy will continue to work with innovative activities in the academic and scientific environment that led expanding the projection of the Resources of the Naval Institution at the service of Security and Defense of the interests of the Nation.
