In development of the Comprehensive Security Plan of the Eighth Division of the National Army, through a search procedure on two houses in the municipality of Monterrey, Casanare, two individuals were arrested, alleged members of the GAO-r Dagoberto Ramos Structure, who would be responsible for the marketing of narcotics in the departments of Casanare and Vichada, apparently from Cauca, Valle and Risaralda.
In decisive operations, soldiers of the Casanare Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), in a coordinated and interagency manner with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, and thanks to military intelligence information, a search procedure was conducted on two houses in the municipality of Monterrey, Casanare.
In the course of the operation, an arrest warrant was issued for two individuals for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes and trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics; these individuals would be at the service of the GAO-r Structure Dagoberto Ramos Mart铆nez.
According to the investigations that led to the arrests, these individuals would be those who carried out micro-trafficking activities of substances, such as cocaine hydrochloride, marijuana and synthetic drugs. They apparently formed a transnational drug trafficking network, since they generated their criminal operations of the departments of Cauca, Valle del Cauca and Risaralda, to the departments of Casanare and Vichada, as well as drug trafficking operations, sending the illicit substances to countries in Europe, North America, Central America and South America.
The individuals were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office, where their process of prosecution and legalization will continue.
