Tumaco, Nariño 05 October 2021. In compliance with the Plan of Campaign Bicentenary Heroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force of the Stabilisation and Consolidation Hercules in joint military operations conducted by the National Army, the Navy, The Colombian Air Force, coordinated with the National Police and inter agency with the office of the Prosecutor General of the Nation, arrested 12 alleged members of the residual armed Group organized (GAO-r) Urias Rondon , recovered two minors and found different war material and military accessories in the village El Vallenato, municipality of Llorente in the district of Tumaco, Nariño.
In the military operation troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 2, after several hours of combat against members of this structure, they arrested these individuals, including alias Yesica, ringleader of the group of this criminal organization; those arrested were taken by members of the National Army aviation and pilots of the Colombian Air Force to the urban area of the municipality of Tumaco, being provided with medical assistance by military health personnel.
It is important to note that when the urgent acts were being carried out, a riot by civilians took place obstructing the operation of the authorities. This, despite the fact that 10 days ago in the municipality of Llorente this structure would have perpetrated in the collective homicide where 6 people died and others were injured.
During the operation, two minors were recovered and put into custody of the Colombian Family Wellbeing institute in order to restore their rights.
In the same way, at the scene of the events, it was possible to find 10 rifles, two pistols, 52 magazines, abundant ammunition of different calibres, communications material and military accessories for the exclusive use of the Military Forces.
The material found and the individuals were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
With this result troops hit the components of this criminal organization, responsible for killings, acts of crime and clashes with other structures that perpetrate drug trafficking, following the recommendations of the early warning 04 and 044 2018 issued by the office of the Ombudsman, which consists in the adoption of prevention and protection measures that will safeguard the rights to life, liberty and security of the inhabitants.
