Caquetá. In the frame of the ongoing struggle that the National Navy and the National Army are carrying out in the south of the country against the drug trafficking organizations, an operation was carried out. It led to the discovery of more than 300 kilograms of marijuana.
In the hamlet Jardin Camelias, in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, in the department of Caquetá, troops of the National Navy and the National Army, detected a boat and inside they found 13 bags with 366 packages, which contained 366 kilograms of marijuana. The material was put into custody of the Sijin of the police in the municipality.
With this finding it was possible to deal heavy blow to the finances of the drug trafficking, taking into account that the quantity of cocaine the troops confiscated, in the South American illegal market would reach three thousand million Colombian pesos.
So far this year, the Naval Force of the South has found more than two tons of marijuana, which has led to close spaces to drug trafficking organizations and has contributed to hit the finances of organizations that make illegal use of rivers in southern Colombia.
