Continuous controls and operations against the hallucinogen traffic forced the drug traffickers to abandon the illegal cargo.
The objective was to transport 759 kilograms of creepy-type marijuana, valued at 284,600,000 pesos, through the Huila roads to the city of Bogot谩. The permanent presence of the soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.26 Cacique Pigoanza, of the Ninth Brigade, led to neutralize the plans of the narcotic traffickers.
These groups that are illicitly financed by drug trafficking, noticing the permanent search for vehicles on the road, would have decided to hide 16 bags of narcotics in the middle of the mountain vegetation, to later try to pass them, unaware that the troops conduct checkpoints as well as searches in the area.
The patrol led to the finding of the hallucinogen distributed in 477 packages, which, as a particular feature, had two brands, the logo of a horse and bottles of liquor, a strategy used to differentiate the final recipient of the shipment.
The military operation took place in the Patico village, municipality of La Plata, western Huila. It was established, through military intelligence work, that the narcotic drug had been purchased in the Guadalejo municipality, in the department of Cauca.
The Huila Police immediately received the support of the prosecution, and the drug was put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office.
