43.5 tons of humanitarian aid provided by the unit for Comprehensive Care and reparation to the victims and the military Bishopric will be distributed to families injured by confrontations conducted by FARC dissident structures, after setting sail on board the logistic support ship ARC Golfo de Tribugá, of the Colombian Navy, of the dock of Puerto Hondo, in Tumaco, Nariño.
With the aim of helping and contributing to the well-being of the nearly 500 families, the Pacific Naval force has its logistical resources and human talent available to carry out the loading and transport by sea and river of Humanitarian Aid represented in food, toilet items, mats, blankets, kitchen utensils and biosecurity kits, to the municipalities of Olaya Herrera and El Charco, in the Department of Nariño.
The unit for the Comprehensive Care and reparation of victims will distribute 17,5 tons to the municipality of Olaya Herrera and 25 tons to the municipality of El Charco. On the other hand, thanks to the Coordination of efforts, the military Bishopric will support the humanitarian assistance to these people with the distribution of an additional ton of aid.
It should be noted, that in matters of security, the Navy Brigade no. 4, attached to the Hercules joint stabilization and consolidation Task Force, deployed Navy infantry troops to Sanquianga, in order to strengthen control and surveillance operations and continue to carry out operations aimed at countering the criminal operation of criminal groups that generate fear in the civilians, in this area of the Nariño Pacific region.
