More than 145 drug production facilities have been destroyed in this region of the country so far this year.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, soldiers of Colombian National Army in an international operation with the Attorney General's Office have recently discovered and destroyed a laboratory for the manufacture of cocaine hydrochloride, with more than 1300 kg of the drug, as well as solid and liquid precursors for its manufacture. This laboratory was apparently at the service of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in a rural area of the municipality of Tierralta, C贸rdoba.
The military operation was carried out in the Juan Le贸n Ci茅naga village, where a laboratory consisting of 6 structures with 375 kg of potassium permanganate, 250 kg metabisulfite, 150 kg cement, 240 kg potassium sulfate, 375 kg activated charcoal, 200 kg calcium chloride, 300 kg granular ammonia, 150 kg sodium bicarbonate, 750 kg caustic soda, 250 kg calcium nitrate and 200 kg sodium chloride were found and destroyed, as well as 3490 kg of solid precursors, in addition to 700 gallons of liquid precursors.
In the same way, 3 compressors, 5 distillation towers, 4 dragons (dredges), 3 energy generators, 15 microwave ovens, 4 gas cylinders, 18 precision scales, 4 motor pumps, a filter, 2 rudimentary ovens, 220 barrels, 6000 meters of cable, among other machinery and equipment used for manufacturing before, during and until commercialization were found by troops.
The laboratory and the solid, liquid material and the machinery had a cost of more than $1,500,000,000, COP and the cocaine hydrochloride had a cost in the market close to $2,000,000,000. In this way, the flow of money that finances criminal operations against civilians and the Military Forces, which are intended to destabilize the region and hit the inhabitants, is limited.
