In compliance with three arrest warrants issued by the Third Municipal Criminal Court, the National Army apprehended these individuals, who are accused of several criminal acts in their judicial records.
In the Ayacucho Plan, it was possible to arrest by judicial order three alleged members of the support network of the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Adán Izquierdo, in the village of Alegrías, village of Cumbarco de Sevilla, Valle del Cauca.
These individuals would be committing crimes such as various illicit activities, such as aggravated homicide and illegal carrying of firearms. They would in the same way be the perpetrators of the homicide of Wilmer Alexander Riaño Carreño, executed in the village of Cumbarco, on January 15, 2023. They would in the same way be linked to theft, collection of money from extortion against product of illegal mining on the villages of Maulen, Cebollal, La Unión and Alegrías, generating anxiety and uncertainty in the municipalities of Sevilla, Caicedonia and Tuluá.
The arrest of these men leads to the dismantling of one of the most active criminal structures of this residual organized armed group, which operated in the municipalities of Tuluá, Caicedonia and Sevilla, and in the same way prevents possible terrorist attacks against the Military Forces in this area of the department.
The three men was put into custody of the authorities for the relevant judicial work.
