The National Army, through the program Fe en Colombia, makes progress in the most remote regions and makes visible agricultural and artisanal production projects in Arauca.
This time the municipality of Arauquita was the epicenter of a large Community Entrepreneurship Meeting table that benefited more than 120 farmers in the center of the department of Arauca, producers of coffee, avocado, cocoa, panela, rice, banana, passion fruit, arequipe (sugar and milk dessert) and textiles, who engaged in negotiation relations with businessmen from Corabastos (food supply corporation), Federations of coffee growers and marketers, who came together in order to visualize and discover new producers to technify them, train them and turn them into businessmen of their own products and their raw material.
As part of the axis of cooperation and development of the Victoria Plus Plan, the National Army, through the Quir贸n Task Force, the Faith in Colombia program and the Comprehensive Action and Development Support Command, seeks to establish the progress of the regions through peasant and agricultural empowerment, eliminating intermediaries and leading Corabastos merchants to establish direct negotiations.
This activity was in the same way carried out thanks to the articulation of the program Fe en Colombia and the soldiers of the Support Battalion of Comprehensive Action and Development No. 8 with the Mayor of Arauquita, National Police, Chamber and Commerce, the navy Infantry, Firemen, Civil Defense, who through the Unified operation of the State guided this activity to benefit farmers in rural areas of Tame, Saravena, Arauca, Cravo Norte and Arauquita, with the exposition of large sources of agricultural and artisanal production in vegetables, fruits, dairy products, vegetables and aloe soap.
Amanda Torres, Corabastos fruit merchant and participant in the Community Entrepreneurs Meeting table said: "We have been very happy to participate because it is a meeting place and we come directly to the producer, it is a very important effort of the National Army that brought a lot of people who come from different regions to know products. "
The purpose of the event was to promote spaces of commercial agreement conducted by local, regional and national buyers; and producers of the different regions, thus forging long-term business relationships, facilitating beneficial marketing channels for small producers in areas such as Arauquita.
It is important to highlight that eight commercial agreements were made, where the space conducted by peasants and wholesalers was facilitated so that they have direct contact without intermediaries, increasing the confidence to generate the largest number of businesses. These spaces projected to the agribusiness cooperation realized by the National Army will continue to be conducted soon by the Multi Mission Heroes in the capital city of the department of Casanare.
