With the resources of the Fifth Brigade and the coordination with the Government of Santander, it was possible to bring construction material to a village far of the municipality of California.
Troops of the Fifth Brigade, through the Engineer Battalion No.5 and the Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion No.2, made it possible for a National Army helicopter to reach a very remote area with difficult access by land in the Santa Úrsula village of California, Santander, to carry all the material given by the departmental administration, which will lead the construction of a new house for the Gélvez Lizcano family.
Cement, bricks, rods, tanks and other elements necessary to build a decent house were brought by the soldiers, who through their differential Resources are always attentive and ready to support the inhabitants when they need it most.
Thanks to the management carried out by the municipal mayor's office and the Government of Santander, this family could be a beneficiary of the My roof is a fact program, and now with the support of Colombian National Army, this family count the days to enjoy this dream come true.
Due to the conditions of the terrain and the lack of access roads, this humanitarian support became necessary so that the material could reach the point where from now on this place a Santander family begins to build, improving their quality of life.
