The Twelfth Brigade of the National Army has supported the distribution of more than 10 community works that have helped to improve the quality of life of civilians in the region.
Soldiers of the Mechanized Cavalry Group No.12 General Ramón Arturo Rincón Quiñonez, attached to the Twelfth Brigade of the National Army, in an inter-institutional work with the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace, the municipal administration of El Paujil and the Peace Community Council, made the official inauguration of a playground in the El Prado neighborhood in the municipality of El Paujil, Caquetá.
About 25 soldiers of this military unit, supported for three days with the installation and adaptation of the park, which will benefit more than 100 children from this central sector of the municipality.
Through this community work and within the framework of the campaign that seeks to prevent the forced recruitment of children and adolescents by groups outlaw, the National Army continues to work for the development and security of communities in this region of the Colombian Amazon.
The inauguration was attended by Major Carlos Eduardo Afanador, Operations Officer of the Unit; María Alejandra Basto Quiroga, Secretary of Government; Katherine Orozco Espinosa, departmental delegate of the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace and Wilson Orozco, secretary general of the Peace Community Council. Additionally, recreational activities were carried out during the event, with the purpose of providing safe spaces for the families that inhabit this area of the department.
In 2022, the Twelfth Brigade has supported with the construction of more than eight community works that have contributed to improving the quality of life of civilians in the department of Caquetá.
