As part of the electoral activity carried out on December 5 at the national level, the Military Forces deployed all their resources to ensure the security and the right to vote of young people between 14 and 28 years old.
This activity took place in total normality; it is a sample of the planning and working together, coordinated and inter-agency by the Military Forces, National Police and other institutions of the government that led to our fellow more young people to exercise their free right to choose in accordance with article 40 of the Constitution and in the frame of the electoral calendar issued by the National registry of Civil Status.
This is the right moment to recognize the selfless work and send a greeting to the more than 60 thousand soldiers, sailors, navy men, airmen and police officers who guarantee these elections, in the framework of an activity in which young people were the protagonists.
On this occasion under the slogan Young people caring for Young People, a campaign led by the Minister of Defense Diego Molano, the youth of Colombia was today not only at the polls, but ensuring the safety and tranquility of those who freely and spontaneously decided to exercise their right to choose.
