More than 900 people benefited of the different services provided through a complete Development Support Activity.
The Juan XXIII School was the environment that concentrated the High Mountain Battalion of the Ninth Brigade, National Police, Colombian Air Force, Municipal Mayor's Office, Hospital, Family Commissioner, Agrarian Bank and Firefighters, all united around the same goal: to bring progress and well-being to Algeciras.
For a few hours the classrooms became offices where the inhabitants could access general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, cytology, gynecology, psychology, vaccination and internal medicine services.
Once they left their consultations, the inhabitants received the medicines completely free of charge, a comprehensive service that contributed to improving their quality of life.
Along with the health services, children and young people had fun with the recreational activity, received hydration to recharge their energies and participate in the different scheduled contests to amuse them and invite them to focus their free time on healthy leisure activities.
“We managed to do this activity that leads us to benefit not only the inhabitants of the urban area, but in the same way our peasants of the villages: El Toro, La Arcadia and El Paraíso, with services, which many times, due to the long distances are not easily accessible,” assured Lieutenant Colonel José Miguel Rodríguez Martínez, commander of the High Mountain Battalion.
