Casanare. After an important articulation in the program “Fe en Colombia,” soldiers of the Eighth Division and the Battalion of Comprehensive Action No. 8 conducted the first planting of trees in the facilities of the Technical Business Institution of Yopal, in the department of Casanare.
The activity 'Sowing love and life' was carried out thanks to the articulated work of the program Fe in Colombia of the National Army with this school and the Titanes Caracol program, an icon of environmental sustainability throughout the Colombian geography.
Initially, 50 native trees of the region were planted. At the same time, members of this academic community were made aware of protecting and preserving the environment.
Maria James, coordinator of the school, expressed her gratitude to all the soldiers of the National Army and the program “Fe en Colombia. “These heroes have articulated with our students, in order to strengthen the Green Generation program. I am very happy to be the pioneers of this campaign of sowing love and life".
In this way, the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and Development through its men deployed in the operations area of the Eighth Division, will continue working for the care of the environment and will continue to carry out these environmental activities with the planting of more of 500 trees in the department.
