Between January and March 2020, the Colombian Navy, as part of its efforts in the frontal fight against drug trafficking, seized 32,660 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in the Caribbean region, which represents loses by more than 1,842 million dollars for illegal activities of illegal groups that commit crimes in this part of the country.
In the same quarter, but in the immediately previous year, the discovery of about 15 tons of cocaine hydrochloride had been found, which represents a 113 percent increase in the findings of this type of drug.
On the other hand, more than two tons of marijuana have been found, 87 people have been captured for crimes related to drug trafficking and vehicles, aircraft, boats, and even semi-submarines, used for drug trafficking, have been immobilized.
It should be noted that drug trafficking is the main source of financing for Organized Armed Groups -GAO, Organized Criminal Groups 鈥揋DO (in Spanish), and other criminal organizations that commit crimes.
