Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Valle, together with the Attorney General's Office, arrested in flagrante delicto four individuals when they received two million pesos that would be the product of an extortion.
Thanks to the timely denunciation of the victim and the work of military intelligence, the arrest of the four people took place, three men and one woman, who apparently would have called the victim with the justification of returning items that had been stolen in previous days to get the money.
The criminal operations focused on demands through coercion against the citizen to make the alleged return of stolen items and to prevent deleting the information in electronic devices.
At the time of the arrest, these people were carrying a briefcase where the stolen items were supposedly to be handed over to the victim, but at the time of its inspection it was evident that the suitcase was full of scraps of ceramic tiles, thereby evidencing the trickery to which the victim would be subjected.
In the military operation carried out under the coordination of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 25 and CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), four cell phones, a motorcycle and the money product of extortion were found by troops. These individuals and the material were put into custody of the authorities.
