This is Faiber Antonio Ramírez Mota, known as Richard or Hawi, who would be ordering terrorist operations and collection of money from extortions against the inhabitants of Cartagena del Chairá, San Vicente del Caguán, Puerto Rico, El Paujil and El Doncello, among other municipalities in the north of the department of Caquetá.
As a result of coordinated and inter-institutional military operations carried out by troops of the National Army, the Police and the Prosecutor's Office, the individual accused of being the second ringleader of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Miller Perdomo Structure, was arrested through a search procedure carried out in the vicinity of the Miraflores village, municipality of Puerto Rico, Caquetá.
This result was possible thanks to the intelligence of the National Army, which was being carried out more than a year ago to find this individual.
With this arrest, the command and control of the Miller Perdomo criminal structure is hit, helping to improve security conditions for the inhabitants of the most vulnerable communities in the region, directly attacking the multi-crime factors that hit the inhabitants of Caquetá and helping to mitigate the loss of human lives.
The authorities in their judicial process will determine the information where he is accused of participating in the terrorist operation against the governor of Caquetá, Arnulfo Gasca Trujillo, in January 2022, where two police officers were killed, as well as the terrorist operation against the mayor of Cartagena del Chairá in February 2021.
Richard is in the same way accused of several investigations against him for his alleged participation in the targeted assassinations against former members of the extinct FARC.
He would be, apparently, in charge of ordering the collection of money from extortion against merchants and ranchers in the region.
This individual has a criminal experience of more than ten years, where his main operation would be intimidating and constraining a large part of the inhabitants of the north of Caquetá.
The arrested man was found with three short-range firearms with their respective ammunition, a fragmentation grenade, communications equipment and a bulletproof vest.
The National Army will continue to carry out joint, coordinated and inter-institutional military operations as part of the Perseo Plan, in order to dismantle the residual organized armed groups that commit crimes against the civilians of the Colombian Amazon and working to continue strengthening the constitutional mandate to defend and work to improve the security and defense of civilians in this region of the country.
