Colombian National Army, within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, through the Second Brigade and the Military Police Battalion N°2 Barranquilla, in coordination with the National Police, during the last weeks gave solid results of the military operations against the organized common crime group Los Costeños, as well as against common crime.
The events were reported in the Los Andes and Kennedy neighborhoods, where it was possible to make six arrests of alleged members of the Los Costeños common crime group and one common crime arrest for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying firearms and/or ammunition, and trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics.
Within the framework of this operation, 3 kilos of cocaine, one kilo of marijuana, a Walter pistol, caliber 9 millimeters; a Browning pistol, caliber 7.65 millimeters, a revolver, caliber 38 millimeters; a revolver, caliber 32 millimeters; a traumatic pistol, magazines and cartridges of different calibers, among other elements, were found by troops. The material and those arrested were put into custody of the authorities.
In the same way, thanks to the commitment of the Military Forces, another important result against the manufacture of adulterated liquor was possible. This time the events were reported in the Las Nieves neighborhood, where 3 individuals were arrested and 569 empty bottles of different brands were found by troops, in addition to a 25-gallon plastic bottle and a tank with adulterated liquor and 2889 items, such as lids, empty boxes, labels and stamps of different brands, used in the preparation of the liquor, being put into custody of the authorities along with the arrested.
It should be noted that this finding counteracts this rudimentary practice called alembic, specialized in the adulteration and falsification of the product, which is harmful to health, taking into account that they are not governed by any health protocol.
