The Colombian Air Force, in a C-130 Hercules aircraft of the Military Air Transport Command-CATAM, transported from Bogotá to Mitú 729 boxes with school kits that will be distributed to 2,915 children from 26 Schools of the Department of Vaupés.
This CATAM air transport mission was carried out in support of the Ministry of National Education, which seeks to accompany and strengthen the conditions of the people of Vaupés, with school elements and it was accompanied by the Comprehensive Action Center of the Colombian Air Force.
From very early the crew of the C-130 Hercules and delegates of the Ministry of Education prepared the cargo consisting of 729 boxes, 28 kilograms each, and then flew to the Fabio Alberto León Bentley Airport in Mitú, where members of the Vaupés Secretariat of Education were waiting accompanied by the soldiers of the Jungle Infantry Battalion No. 30 of the National Army, who supported the reception of the educational material.
The Military Transport Air Command, through its Air Resources, will continue to support the National Government in the implementation of its public educational policies, which seek to benefit the most remote towns in the country.
