With a Caravan C208-B type aircraft of the Colombian Aerospace Force, the Caribbean Air Group carried out an aeromedical transfer from the island of Providencia to San Andr茅s, transferring a man who needed medical assistance in a higher-level center to treat his ailments.
The military medical personnel and the crew of the aircraft carried out the aeromedical transfer to ensure that the patient received the appropriate care. The 62-year-old man, who required a specialized evaluation to evaluate the involvement in his central neurological system due to his medical history and acute events that complicated his health condition, was evaluated and transported in appropriate conditions to the island of San Andr茅s.
During the flight, vital signs were monitored and an eye was kept out for possible new events that could impact his health and the safety of the transfer. Upon reaching land, the man was handed over to the island's ambulance staff, who took him to the departmental hospital for further treatment.
Once again, the Colombian Aerospace Force continues to carry out aeromedical transfer missions in the Archipelago of San Andr茅s, Providencia and Santa Catalina, contributing to the well-being and physical conditions of all the inhabitants of the islands.
