Along with him, three other people were arrested, who were injured in the fighting reported last Sunday.
Alias Diego, a member of the Dagoberto Ramos dissidents, who participated in the armed attack perpetrated by this group in the urban area of Silvia, Cauca, on October 11.
His arrest took place during the reaction of the troops of the 29th Brigade that led to dismantle an illegal checkpoint that this individual along with 7 other people were planning to install on the Pan-American Highway in the El Túnel sector in Cajibío.
After investigative work and judicial inquiries, it was possible to determine the participation of alias Diego, 30 years old, who was in charge of attacking the Military Forces and coordinating the assault on the headquarters of the Agrarian Bank of that municipality, as evidenced in several videos that were published on social networks.
His criminal operations include armed attacks on different villages in eastern Cauca, as well as the installation of illegal checkpoints on the Pan-American highway and access roads to villages such as Silvia and Totoró, operations that aimed at stealing vehicles.
This result reaffirms the commitment of Colombian National Army in the protection of roads and in the fight against illegal structures that threaten the tranquility of communities in the southwest of the country.
