The Margay Tigrillo inhabits the tropical forests and mangroves of the national territory, it is considered an almost threatened specimen due to the destruction of its habitat, the illegal trafficking of fauna and flora, and deforestation. With a low reproduction rate, with only one brood every two years, and a high mortality rate of 50%, its conservation is of vital importance for the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest, according to CORPOAMAZONIA.
The Colombian Aerospace Force reaffirms its commitment to the preservation of the environment and the protection of fauna and flora throughout the national territory, therefore, it will continue to use all its distinctive resources to work to promote the survival of specimens and protect the country's biodiversity.
