In a timely mission carried out in the El Tuparro National Natural Park, in the municipality of Cumaribo, it was possible to neutralize a coca base paste production laboratory and, in the same way, recover a nature reserve area of great importance for the region.
This joint and coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, the Colombian Navy, the National Police, the Prosecutor's Office and the Technical Investigation Corps, led to mitigate the criminal operations that hit biodiversity and the environment in the department of Vichada, protecting a hectare of land that was being prepared for coca planting.
Thanks to these joint efforts, it was possible to find 14 kilograms of lime, 14 bags of fertilizer, barrels, mixers and the territory itself, which would cost approximately 80 million pesos; the elements were put into custody of the authorities.
