With this result, we prevent the commercialization of more than 5,000 doses of psychoactive substances, which would be part of the microtrafficking in the country and the international market, in this way we do not only contribute to improving safety conditions, but in the same way contribute to the dimension of human health security, preventing the narcotic drug from strengthen this public health problem the nation is facing.
Troops of the National Army in coordination with the National Police, in the village La Tigrera, municipality of Puerto Lleras, Meta, carried out the finding and destruction of a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory, with the capacity to process one ton per month of the narcotic.
At the moment the soldiers arrived at the site, there was a firefight with two individuals who were in the rudimentary structure and subsequently fled the place. There were no injured people.
The laboratory that would cost more than two billion pesos contained about 510 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 160 kilograms of coca base, 470 kilograms of solid precursors such as coal, caustic soda, calcium chloride, more than 1,300 gallons of liquid precursors such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, acetone and diesel, among other elements used for the elaboration and production of the drugs.
As it could be established, those in charge of the logistics of this laboratory transported the illegal product to Bogot谩, and from there, they took new routes, in order to market it outside the country.
