As an initiative to contribute to the protection measures for health personnel assisting people diagnosed with Covid-19, the Colombian Air Force, through the Air Maintenance Command, CAMAN, began manufacturing protection elements known as “aerosol box”, which seek to provide protection to medical personnel, preventing physical contact with the patient.
This operation was manufactured by officers, NCOs and civilians who work on the structures in the workshops of the Air Maintenance Command, in Madrid, in the department of Cundinamarca.
For the structuring of these operations, polycarbonate was used as the main material, leading the manufacture of resistant and translucent pieces that facilitate the visualization of the patient by health personnel.
This "aerosol box" seeks to protect the front line that is fighting the virus and contribute to strengthening the country's health system in the fight against the pandemic.
