Through the Plan Corazón Amigo (Friendly Heart Plan) program, the Colombian Air Force made the adaptation of a park that will benefit 100 children of the Child Development Center in the Manguaré neighborhood of the city of Leticia.
The project was carried out thanks to the voluntary contributions of the military personnel of the Amazon Air Group, who supported the most vulnerable inhabitants, contributing to improve the children's recreational infrastructure, which allows motor development and gives a smile to children.
For the distribution, which was carried out strictly complying with all biosecurity protocols, children of the community were present, who were accompanied by their mothers, teachers, social workers and military personnel of the Air Force, and enjoyed a pleasant morning in their new space for fun and recreation.
On the other hand, the military personnel of the Colombian Air Force distributed didactic books, school material and notebooks, with the aim of encouraging study in minors and lowering school dropout rates.
During the activity, the coordinator of the Child Development Center Manguaré, thanked the unconditional support of the Institution, which through the Comprehensive Action group, always give a hand to this community of scarce resources, located near the border with Brazil.
Thus, the Air Force, committed to contribute to early childhood education, will continue carrying out this type of initiatives in order to work for the comprehensive development of children in Colombia.
