The Command of the Thirtieth Brigade, the military unit of the Second Division of the National Army, reports:
1. In the early hours of this Monday, February 7, 2022, in a cowardly terrorist operation that violates the international humanitarian law and violates human rights, the facilities of the San Jorge military base, in C煤cuta, Norte de Santander, were attacked with explosive devices.
2. Once the events occurred, the reaction operation was launched and it was determined that three explosive devices were launched, one on the hill called N煤cleo 86 and another two in the lower part of the base facilities.
At the moment there is no loss to the troops, nor to the facilities.
3. According to preliminary information, this action would have been perpetrated by criminals of the organized armed group Eln.
4. At this time military operations continue to work to identify those responsible for this terrorist act, and with the review of the facilities of the military unit and its surroundings to rule out the existence of any other device.
5. This Command rejects this terrorist operation that seeks to strike the tranquility of the inhabitants of the sector and in the coming hours the denunciation will be made before the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.
