Within the framework of the Joint Strategic Campaign Plan 2023-2026, joint and coordinated operations conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, the Colombian Navy, Colombian National Army and the National Police continue to be carried out in the fight against illicit activities in the Amazonas region.
This operation took place in the Municipality La Playita (Leticia – Amazonas), in a search procedure, where 11 sacks were found by troops containing 308 rectangular packages, which by their characteristics are assimilated to marijuana; one person was arrested. In this way, a decisive blow was dealt to the narcotics traffic conducted in the border municipalities of Leticia and Tabatinga.
During this operation, the Colombian Aerospace Force sent its resources through the use of remotely piloted aircraft that were decisive, contributing with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
