In the frame of its commitment to the protection and preservation of the environment, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through aircraft of the Military Air Transport Command, CATAM, carries out the transfer of tons of post-consumer and recyclable material generated in Leticia, Amazonas to the capital city of the country.
This is how CATAM once again sent a C-130 Hercules aircraft to carry out this mission led by the Amazonas Air Group, GAAMA, together with the Amazonas Sin L铆mites Foundation and Corpoamazonia, transporting more than 50 tons of cargo to date.
The support by the different CATAM transport aircraft such as the C-40, C-295 and C-130, has been fundamental for the Department of Amazonas since it contributes to increasing the useful life of the El Jaguar landfill in Leticia and giving a second useful life to usable material such as bottles, cans and paper as well as to post-consumer waste such as oils, batteries, luminaires, among others.
