In order to benefit about 1,219 women attached to the Air Combat Command No. 6 in Tres Esquinas, in the department of Caquet谩, the Health Establishment inaugurated the Rosado Clinic, a specialized space that seeks to raise awareness and early detection of diseases in women, identifying risk factors and promoting healthy lifestyles.
According to reports of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), breast cancer is considered one of the most diagnosed worldwide, being the first cause of cancer death in women.
In Colombia, the National Institute of Health in the report of events of breast and cervical cancer during the epidemiological surveillance 2016 - 2018, identified the average age for breast cancer at 57 years and during the first three years of the investigation, half of the population ranged between 48 and 66 years old. For cervical cancer, the average was 44 years where 50 percent of the notified population was between 33 and 55 years old, which has generated the need to create public health strategies to improve early detection. Under this premise, the Establishment of CACOM 6, created the Pink Clinic, which through a change in decoration and feminine details, seek to adapt cold offices in warm, happy and thoughtful places for them, where they can tell their intimacies and relax, especially with the stress that can cause talking about a topic such as cancer.
The Air Force Health Headquarters already has three Pink rooms, in the Military Health Establishments of the Air Combat Command No. 1, CACOM 1, of the Casanare Air Group, GACAS and Air Combat Command No. 6, CACOM 6. It is an strategy that seeks to convince users on the commitment to stop cancer, where they can in the same way access mammograms, results and medical examinations by health professionals (doctors and nurses), who promote the realization of self-examination, education and prevention actions in pathologies.
