The Military Forces and the National Police, in fulfillment of their mission to bring progress to the most vulnerable regions of Colombia, conducted an important environmental day in the land of the Marimba.
Nariño. In the neighborhood “Más Familias en Acción” that has 905 people, which means 197 families (62% single mothers and 92% victims of forced displacement) the Hercules Task Force, the comprehensive and Development operation Battalion No. 3, and the National Police and the municipal Mayor's Office worked together with community leaders of the municipality of Tumaco, in a day that seeks to reduce the contamination of the place.
Soldier Juan Carlos Mora, participated in this activity and said: "We have conducted a campaign to improve the environment, we collect garbage, plastic waste and waste in general, which damages our environment and the community."
This event, carried out along with the population, had the purpose of generating bonds of partnership and trust with the inhabitants of this neighborhood in the department of Nariño and contribute to the environmental care and recovery of the area.
The activity was carried out with the important purpose of integrating the community around environmental education and a message about the commitment of our Institution to this region hit by the situation of poverty.
