The crews of the UH-60 helicopters and the ECN-235 aircraft, together with the special air commands of the Colombian Air Force, have already started missions in Red Flag Rescue 2022, one of the most important training exercises in search and rescue missions of military aviation in the world.
At the Davis-Monthan Air Base of the United States Air Force, USAF, where this exercise takes place, a hostile environment is simulated to lead new techniques, tactics, procedures and strengthen interoperability to be conducted by Air Forces of different countries, in addition to strengthening the C-SAR rescue Resources, testing the knowledge, training and skills of the aircrews of the Air Institution.
Red Flag Rescue 22-1 has as its slogan We leave no one behind, a premise under which it seeks to strengthen the search and rescue resources of both helicopter or aircraft crew personnel and Special Operations personnel in conflict environments.
In this simulated environment, the Resources of the Air Forces of countries such as Singapore, Sweden, Israel and the United States are integrated and coordinated, who are in the same way participating in Red Flag Rescue 22-1.
During the exercise, training missions have been carried out in desert areas, in which pilots and crew members rescue wounded in combat, which they must find at coordinates provided, this with the aim of strengthening, standardizing and integrating the procedures of the different teams, consolidating the experience, knowledge and training of crew personnel, technicians, rescuers and communications, in this interoperable environment.
