Operations intensified in rural area of Páez, Cauca.
Cauca. Nearly 38 thousand illicit plantations were eradicated, and a rudimentary production laboratory for Coca Base was destroyed in the operations carried out by the Ninth Brigade in the department of Cauca, against the drug trafficking, in a zone bordering the department de Huila.
In the village El Pepito, in the municipality of Páez, in the department of Cauca, the troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 26 'Cacique Pigoanza' found a Coca Base Paste laboratory, finding a considerable number of gallons of fuel and solid and liquid precursors for the production of narcotics.
The military operation against this situation, continues with the eradication of four hectares equivalent to 38 thousand coca plantations in the same sector of Cauca, attacking ostensibly the expansion of drug trafficking, and the use of mobility routes by these outlaw groups.
This rural area of the municipality of Páez, in limits with the department of Huila, has been the target of organized criminal groups that profit from drug trafficking. The men of the Ninth Brigade have arrived to counter the illegal financing modalities, striking heavy blows to these criminal structures that hit this region.
